Projection mapping

Ah, the good old Overhead Projector. Brings back countless memories of coma-inducing lectures on ox-bow lake formation and cell division by mitosis. I wonder if they still use them in schools today, now that everyone’s got iPads and hoverboards? I do hope so.

Back in the present, I’ve come across quite a few examples of projection mapping recently, something I’d love to have a crack at one day if I can find a client with a suitably large wallet. As you’d expect, the more effort and thought that goes into tailoring the animations to the building that they’re being projected on, the better the end product. Just imagine how much more fun geography lessons would be if they featured 3D projections of long-shore drift. Wow.
