There’s something effortlessly cool about Beck. Not only does he make some truly fantastic music, but he also manages to somehow avoid the media circus that surrounds other high-profile Scientologists. Everyone know it’s a shitty cult, and that Cruise and Travolta are knee-deep in its pseudo-religious psychobabble, but yet Beck is rarely mentioned.
That aside, the revamped beck.com is in full swing, combining some cover versions of Velvet Underground songs (not a big fan), some strange interviews with celebs (much better), and acoustic versions from last year’s criminally underrated Modern Guilt LP (splendid).
And here’s the title track in all its unplugged glory. Enjoy.
